What is PCOS?
PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome is an endocrine disorder affecting only about 5 -10% of women.
What are the Symptoms?
An irregular menstrual cycle is the most important symptom and is usually essential for the diagnosis of PCOS. Obesity is a closely related factor.
Acne, Hirsutism may be present due to hyperandrogenism.
Acanthosis Nigricans – dark, velvety skin patches present over back of neck or axillary areas.
